For example, in corrosion resistance, wear resistance, small size, light weight, low noise, small vibration, automatic prevention of oil reflux, removal of oil vapor reflux and so on, efforts are needed. In order to adapt to the development of the instrument, the small rotary vane vacuum pump which needs less than 18 liters/seconds has been developed into a miniaturized instrument.
Old-style mechanical pumps, when pumping, with the increase of vacuum, pumping speed has decreased a lot. In recent years, due to the reduction of oil vapor reflux and the adoption of some new technologies (such as the use of three-rotor structure in rotary vane vacuum pump), the pumping speed curve (horizontal line) of the pump almost extends to 1 x10-3 torr.
In the research of clean vacuum, in order to avoid the reflux of oil vapor, it was proposed that the high vacuum seal of rotary vane vacuum pump should be made of solid lubricant (dry stage) and the general oil-sealed rotary vane vacuum pump should be used as the two-stage pump.
Of course, the more thorough solution to the oil vapor reflux or try to develop oil-free mechanical vacuum pump. It has been studied for many years at home and abroad, and many types have been developed. However, pumps that can start pumping from the atmosphere and can work continuously and have similar performance to existing oil seal mechanical pumps are still under development, and there are no formal products.
