May adversely affect the color, adhesion and topcoat of the paint applied by compressed air
It may endanger many process industries that need to rely on pneumatic controllers for normal operation. Failure of these controls due to rust, scaling, and clogging of orifices can result in product damage or costly downtime
In cold weather, it will freeze in the control pipeline, which may lead to the wrong operation of the control device
Causes air or gas operated instruments to corrode, resulting in incorrect readings, interruption or shutdown of plant processes.

Drying method of compressed air:
For industrial applications, compressed air dryer has become one of the most important parts in the compression process. The simple fact is that air drying must be carried out. Although air itself is compressible, water is not. The three most common ways to eliminate vaporized air can be summarized as follows:
Lower the temperature and reheat. When the air is cool, the moisture will condense and eventually be discharged, and then the reheated air should be free of moisture.
The air is over compressed, the temperature is reduced, the condensate is discharged, and the normal pressure is restored. The method is expensive and therefore rare.
Water is absorbed from the air by special materials and then discharged from the compressor.
