Treatment Method for Wear of Water Ring Vacuum Pump Parts
In the long-term operation of water-ring vacuum pump, the wear of parts will be formed, and then the vacuum degree and service life of the pump will be affected. In view of this wear phenomenon, vacuum pump factory technicians provide you with several parts wear treatment methods:
(1) In view of the corrosion of water ring vacuum pump body pipes, we changed the general pipes into wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant stainless steel pipes, which basically eliminated the damage of pipes.

(2) In the early stage, we made surfacing welding modification on the wear areas of front and rear distributors, side covers and inner walls of pump housing. According to the deep and long wear areas (along the circumferential direction), deep wear areas of distributors (between suction and compressor), shallow wear areas (at the end) of side covers have different corrosion degrees and different conditions, the welding methods used are also different. The final welding height is 1-2 mm higher than that in practice. It is planed and smoothed with an angular polisher.
After revision and reassembly, the vacuum degree of the water ring pump increases when it runs again, and the effect is remarkable. After running for 3 months, the distributor after turning over found that only a small amount of wear and tear was needed at the surfacing site.
(3) In addition to surfacing modification of worn parts, manufacturers are required to add wear-resistant coatings (epoxy wear-resistant ceramics) on all flow surfaces of the pump body with a spraying thickness of 1 mm. Because the acid resistance, alkali resistance and wear resistance of epoxy wear-resistant ceramics are superior to those of cast iron, the service life of epoxy wear-resistant ceramics is long. After nearly half a year of operation, after turning over the distributor, we found that only a small amount of wear and tear on the flow surface of the pump body had a significant effect.
