When installing the vertical multi-stage centrifugal pump, if it is not debugged
well in the early stage, it will affect the working performance in the future.
Next, we will share the details and matters needing attention in the
installation process of the vertical centrifugal pump.
If there are many
elbows used on the water inlet pipeline, some water flow resistance will be
added, and the elbow should turn in the straight direction, and it is not
allowed to turn in the horizontal direction to avoid air collection. When
installing the water inlet pipeline, the horizontal section is horizontal or
upward, which will collect air in the water inlet pipe, reduce the vacuum degree
of the water pipe and the pump, and reduce the suction head of the pump and the
water output.
The correct method is to slightly skew the horizontal section
towards the water source, not to be horizontal or upward. The vertical
multi-stage centrifugal pump inlet is directly connected with the elbow, which
will cause uneven distribution of water when it enters the impeller through the
elbow.
When the diameter of the water inlet pipe is larger than the water
inlet of the pump, a deflection reducer pipe should be installed. Some
deflection reducers should be installed on the top of the plane and some on the
bottom of the slope. Otherwise, air will be collected, water output will be
reduced or cannot be pumped, and there will be a crash sound.
If the diameter
of the inlet pipe and the water inlet of the water pump is equal, a straight
pipe should be added between the inlet and the elbow of the vertical multi-stage
centrifugal pump. The length of the straight pipe should not be less than two to
three times the diameter of the water pipe. If the outlet is above the normal
water level of the outlet pool, although the pump head is added, the flow is
reduced.
