Pay attention to the start and stop sequence of Roots vacuum pump

In addition to multi-stage, wet and air-cooled Roots vacuum pumps, conventional roots vacuum pumps need to be combined with the previous pump to avoid equipment damage due to high differential pressure. Therefore, before starting the roots vacuum pump:
① Start the front pump; ② open the valve on the pre pumping pipeline of the front pump and the intake and exhaust valve of Roots vacuum pump;
When the pressure in the system reaches the allowable inlet pressure of Roots vacuum pump (the allowable inlet pressure of Roots vacuum pump from different manufacturers will be different), close the valve on the pre pumping pipeline, and then start the roots vacuum pump. If there is no such pre pumping pipeline, the roots vacuum pump can be started after the front pump reaches the allowable inlet pressure of Roots vacuum pump.
Of course, in many occasions, automatic electrical control has been realized through setting, and this part of starting process does not need manual intervention. The roots vacuum pump must be used in strict accordance with the technical specifications. In general, the inlet pressure of Roots vacuum pump is under 1330pa, which has a good pumping efficiency (the highest pumping efficiency section should be in the range of 100-1pa). The highest inlet pressure in application should not exceed its allowable maximum inlet pressure, and it is not suitable to operate too long under the high inlet pressure. In addition, under normal operation, the maximum temperature rise of the general pump shall not exceed 40 ℃, and the maximum temperature shall not exceed 80 ℃, which shall be determined according to the specific characteristics of the manufacturer's products. There shall be no irregular abnormal vibration and noise during operation. In case of motor overload, high temperature rise, abnormal sound and large vibration during current operation, stop the machine immediately to check the cause and eliminate the fault.
Then we'll talk about the shutdown procedure.
If the front stage pump of Roots vacuum pump is an oil sealed mechanical pump, and the air ballast is open, first close the air ballast valve of the front stage oil sealed mechanical pump; then close the air intake valve of Roots vacuum pump; in the next key step, first stop the roots vacuum pump, then stop the front stage pump, and it is strictly forbidden to mistake the shutdown procedure; at the same time of stopping the front stage pump, immediately vent the air at the air inlet of the front stage pump; finally, close the cooling water Inlet valve.
In addition, if it is necessary to stop using for a long time and prevent frost crack in winter, the remaining water in the cooling water jacket shall be drained.
