Water ring vacuum pump needs careful maintenance
All the equipment needs regular maintenance, which can not only ensure the normal operation of the equipment, but also effectively extend the service time of the equipment.
Periodic maintenance of water ring vacuum pump:
(1) in normal work should pay attention to check the working and lubrication of the bearing, its temperature (bearing and outer circle) is generally higher than the ambient temperature of 15℃ ~ 20℃ is appropriate, the highest is not allowed to exceed 30℃ ~ 35℃, that is, the actual temperature of the outer circle of the bearing frame should not exceed 55℃ ~ 60℃; Normally working bearings should be lubricated 3 to 4 times a year, at least once a year to clean the bearing, and all the lubricating oil replacement.
(2) during normal operation, the packing shall be pressed regularly. If the required sealing performance of the packing cannot be guaranteed due to wear, a new packing shall be replaced. If mechanical seal is used and leakage is found, check whether the rotor and rotor ring of mechanical seal is damaged or the auxiliary seal is aged. If the above situation occurs, new parts need to be replaced.
(3) in case of special sound, the pressure plate on the two end covers can be removed to check whether the two end faces of the impeller are crushed with the distributor and whether the exhaust valve plate is normal.
The quality of water ring vacuum pump depends on its mechanical structure and the quality of oil. If the distillation of volatile organic solvents, organic solvents will be absorbed by the oil, increasing the vapor pressure, thus reducing the efficiency of pumping, if it is acidic gas, it will corrode the oil pump, if it is steam will make the oil into emulsion and pump vacuum.
Therefore, the use of vacuum pump must pay attention to the following points:
An absorption device must be installed between the distillation system and the vacuum pump.
Before distillation, the organic solvents in the system must be completely removed by a pump.
If can use water pump to take out air, use water pump as far as possible, if the volatile substance is contained in distillation material, can use water pump to reduce pressure to take out first, convert oil pump next.
The pressure relief system must be airtight, all plugs must be the right size and hole, and the rubber tube must be vacuum rubber tube. The ground glass is coated with vacuum grease.
Vacuum pumps can be divided into three categories according to the range of use and pumping efficiency:
(1) for general pumps, the pressure can reach 1.333~100kPa(10~760mmHg) for "coarse" vacuum.
(2) the oil pump, pressure up to 0.133~ 133.3pa (0.001~1mmHg) is the "second-highest" vacuum.
(3) diffusion pump, pressure up to 0.133pa below, (10-3mmhg) for "high" vacuum.
For a lower pressure, the pump is needed, and a good pump can pump below 133.3pa (1mmHg).
In the organic chemistry laboratory commonly used vacuum pump pump and vacuum pump two kinds, if not very low pressure requirements, available pump, if the pump is well constructed and high water pressure, pumping efficiency up to 1067~3333Pa(8~25mmHg). The minimum pressure a pump can pump is theoretically equivalent to the pressure of water vapor at the current temperature. For example, when the water temperature is 25℃, 20℃ and 10℃, the pressure of steam is 3192, 2394 and 1197Pa(8-25mmhg), respectively. When pumping air with a water pump, a safety bottle should be installed in front of the pump to prevent the water pressure from falling and the water flowing backwards. Before stop pumping air, first vent air and then turn off the water pump.
